Tips & tricks
- Multiple box shadows are separated by commas:
box-shadow: 2px 2px 4px #000, -2px -2px 4px #fff; - Inset shadows are drawn inside the element — great for pressed/active states.
- A large spread radius with zero blur creates a solid colored border effect.
- Negative X/Y offset values move the shadow to the top/left.
- Use
rgba()colors for transparency — pure black at 20–30% opacity often looks most natural.
